Ruth Phillips, Director

RSVP recruits individuals 55 years of age and older to put their skills and life experiences to work for their communities.  RSVP volunteers choose where they want to serve and the hours they serve are flexible.  RSVP has volunteer sites at ninety different stations in the eight county area of Northeast Tennessee.

RSVP is sponsored by the Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency and is located at 301 Louis Street in Kingsport, Tennessee.  RSVP has a satellite office in the Roby Adult Center located at 207 N. College Street in Greeneville, Tennessee.

RSVP of Northeast Tennessee operates in the eight counties of Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Washington, and Unicoi.  If you are interested in volunteering your talents to your community, please call the RSVP office at (423) 246-6180 Ext. 3750.  You will be asked to fill in an enrollment form and upon determining your areas of interest, a work site will be found to best utilize your talents and interests.

RSVP is a National Senior Service Corps (NSSC) program under the umbrella of the Corporation for National and Community Service.   RSVP provides informal and formal recognition for volunteers throughout the year.  RSVP also provides supplemental insurance that covers the volunteer while they are on assignment and excess automobile liability insurance in case of an accident while volunteering.
