INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Roger Smith, Director LIHEAP is designed for households in need of assistance to help with the expense that occurs with their energy costs. These include electric, wood, coal, oil, gas, LP gas, and kerosene. Applications are accepted year round for energy assistance from July 1 thru June 30 of each year. Applicants need to reapply only once per year after each July 1. Distribution is available throughout the eight county area including the counties of: Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan – Bristol; Sullivan – Kingsport, Washington and Unicoi. See Income Guidelines and your local Neighborhood Service Center below.
